Having Children's Services involved with you and your family, can be a stressfull time for many, particularly given the media's view and the number of headline cases invovling Social Workers.
Having a Social Worker invovled feels like being under a microscope and every part of your life, your relationships and your motives are under scrutiny. The fact is they are, and this can cause considerable difficulty for parents in working with services.
Whilst I will always work with people with the view that a child's welfare is paramount, I can work with you and your family to work effectively with Children's Services from their initial contact with you and your family, through Child Protection Proceedures, Looked After Reviews, PLO processes, (Public Law Outline, Letters before Proceedings) and applications for Care Orders, including meeting with and being involved with Cafcass.
You may not be directly involved with Children's Services but a member of your family may be, you could be a Grandparent, Aunt, Uncle, Family Friend, and may have concerns for a child within the family and, or concerns for the child being removed from the family. I am experienced and able to guide you through the processes of supporting you to remain invovled in child's life and or be assessed to care for that child or be involved in the childs care. Including Residence Orders, Special Guardianshp Orders (SGO) etc.

Arrangement Orders
On April 22nd 2014 The Chiildren and Families Act comes into force which replaces Residence and Contact Order with Child Arrangement Orders (CAOs). This Order deals with the arrangements as to "with whom a child is to live, spend time or otherwise have contact" and "when a child is to live, spend time or otherwise have contact with any person."
In providing services for Private Law applications I can support with service of proceedings, contact and residency (CAO's), specific issues, prohibitive stops, leave to remove, safeguarding, dealing with CAFCASS, guardians, finding of fact hearings, non-molestation orders, occupancy orders, direction and final hearings, consent orders, enforcement.
Finance - service of proceedings, ancilary relief proceedings, spousal maintenance, child maintenance, consent orders, enforcement, and assistance in dealing with the child support agency (CSA)
The divorce process itself - service of proceedings, petitions, answers, cross petitions, application for decree absolute.
I can provide help with handling all these areas. What forms to file and how to fill them out, how to separate what is important, from what is irrelevant, how to stay focussed and make progress, how to diffuse conflict and concentrate on the child involved, step by step guidance is available. I support the concept of shared parenting unless there is a compelling case against this.
